How do I register for Black boat Weekend?

What does a boat spot include?

Admission for one on a luxury pontoon or tritoon with food. Food menu will be sent out via email prior to event and orders will be taken for the day of event. Be advised spots are extremely limited and you must be 21 years old or older. You will not receive a refund for being underage. 

What do I need if I have my own boat?

Everyone is welcome to attend FREE of charge if they can provide their own boat. However, Boat Registration is required if each privately owned vessel wants access to tie up and receive the official event flag. Food is not free for privately owned vessels.

Does everyone on the boat have to pay a registration fee?

No. The Private Boat Rental covers all attendees on the vessel. If you bring your own boat, tie up and food can be purchased.

Can I get a refund if I can't attend?

All sales are final. Tickets are nonrefundable. Rentals are non-refundable 

When will the event itinerary be available?

Full itinerary will be dropped closer to the event weekend. 

Is the included food unlimited?

No. Each attendee will be sent the menu and pre order the meal of choice for the day of event. Additional food will be available for purchase. 

Who can attend Black Boat Weekend?

Everyone of all cultures and backgrounds are invited to attend! The event is open to everyone who wants to network and enjoy the vibes. This event is NOT kid friendly. All individual ticket holders must be 21+. Although the event is to celebrate and empower our black community, we want to be clear that ALL are welcomed!

Is tying up required to attend the lake event on Saturday?

Tying up is optional. While some participants may choose to do so, many charter companies now limit or prohibit the practice. You can still have a great time on the water without tying up. To receive an official boat flag and be recognized as part of the event, registration is required. The choice to tie up is entirely up to individual boat owners or charterers.

Where should I stay during the weekend?

We recommend staying in Denver, NC or Charlotte, NC area near Lake Norman. Partner hotels listed on our homepage may offer special rates.

Are captains required for all boats?

Yes, all boats must have a licensed captain for safety. Many charter companies include captains as part of their packages.
